Dr. Alex Redcay is the Executive Director at Serise, Inc. and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Alex earned a PhD in Social Work from Rutgers University in NJ in 2016.
Alex works as an assistant professor at Millersville University in Lancaster, PA. Alex’s teaching and research interests include behavioral health, LGBT issues, and research methods. Alex also works as an expert witness consultant, trainer, and program evaluator. See her CV here.
Alex was recruited to be an expert witness in 2014 and has worked on state and federal lawsuits ranging from $100,000 to $50 million in the following areas:
Alex is frequently asked to provide a variety of trainings to police departments, hospitals, schools, non-profits, and state agencies. Currently, the most popular trainings are regarding diversity issues (Latinos, Transgender, LGBTQ), advanced clinical trainings, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence. Program evaluation is also a popular training, but this is more effectively taught through consultation work or a small training program. All training programs and consultation work can be done in Spanish and English.
Serise also provides private mental health and substance abuse evaluations for individuals, families, employees, and the Department of Transportation (DOT).
Mayte Redcay is the Director of Clinical Services at Serise, Inc. and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCDAC) in the states of NJ and PA, and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) who evaluates members who are subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and have violated DOT drug and alcohol regulations.
Mayte earned her master's degree in education from San Carlos University in Guatemala in 1999 and her master's in social work from Rutgers University in NJ in 2014.
Mayte’s approach is to build a relationship, to listen, and to understand what you have been through and where you want to go. She incorporates holistic mental health strategies, interfaith spirituality, and a strengths-based approach into her practice.
Mayte is knowledgeable in emotional intelligence, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and issues related to relationships, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance abuse. See her CV here.
